Here is our list of the top 5 movies both Marvel fans and the general movie public would go gaga over.
Anyone else wonder where was Hawkeye in Captain America 2? It’s time for Hawkeye to stop receiving the short end of the stick and get his own feature film. In the Avengers, we saw Hawkeye (under the control of Loki) nearly take down the rest of the Avengers on his own. I would love to see Hawkeye actually leave the Avengers, feeling under looked because he has no super powers and play the role of a somewhat dark anti hero.
Either they need to make Snakes on a Plane 2 or they need to give Samuel L Jackson his own feature film as Nick Fury…..please God let it be the latter. Captain America 2 has sent shockwaves throughout the Marvel Universe; S. H.I.E.L.D. is no more, the world think Fury is dead, and Hydra has come out of hiding. Nick Fury helped end Hydra in WWII and now it’s up to him to end them once and for all. Throw in Black Widow and Maria Hill and you can almost have a Charlies Angels vibe to the flick.
What’s not to love about an immortal smart-mouth badass with a soft side for chimichangas? Fans have bee dying for a Deadpool movie since Ryan Reynolds played him in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Reynolds, who is now known for butchering two beloved comic book heroes ( for reals though, stay away from comic book movies and film the Proposal 2)left fans asking WTF where they thinking. While any Deadpool film would need to be rated R so it’s highly unlikely to be made, it sure would be fun to watch.
The Cajun sensation also appeared in X-Men Origins : Wolverine, leaving fans wanting more (man, that film really sucked). Anyone who grew up watching the X-Men animated series fell in love with Gambit, yet he has not played a major role in any films yet. Gambit has an interesting back story of an orphan theft who becomes exiled from his gang because of his mutant powers. I would love to see an origins film, that leads to the famous mutant slaughtering of the underground mutants, the Murlocks. The only trouble fr this film would be finding a lead actor charming enough to fill the role of Gambit. Update: Channing Tatum will play Gambit in the next Xmen movie.
Captain America vs. Iron Man….is there a better way to end the Avengers when everyone’s contracts are up? Civil War is based on the government wanting to register anyone with super powers and is lead by Iron Man. Captain America leads an anti registration group and the result ends with an epic battle where fan favorites face each other in a battle to end all battles. The best part is, this leads to a new Avengers forming, and could easily end the old wave of Marvel film and help bring in a new wave of films like Ms. Marvel, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
